FAQ'S WILL BE CONSTANTLY UPDATED
- 01Ombre is a style where your brows are light in the front and gradually blends out darker towards the ends. Ombré powder brows are achieved using a small rotary machine pen, which disperses extremely fine dots of pigments into across the skin in a shading technique, (resembling the perfect powder filled makeup look). Results last up to 3 years. Microblading is creating 3D hair like strokes, using a hand-held tool, with microfine blades on the tip. The tip is so fine, in fact, that it can create hair strokes that look legit. It meant to replace individual hairs, not to fill your brows to look like they're filled in with pencil or shadow. This method is suitable for candidates who have plenty of existing hair to blend with the created strokes. It is also great for those who have darker hair and want more volume. For those who have light and fine hair, it’s not recommended as the strokes will heal to be a bit thicker and may not blend naturally. Plus, there is no ombré option for this technique. Banji Brow Bar does not offer Microblading, only Ombre Powder Brows.

- 03Yes, it can hurt. Topical numbing cream is applied to the brow area prior to the treament to make the treatment more comfortable. Ombré Powder Brows are less painful due to the airbrush-like technique we apply, which creates less trauma to the skin vs. the blading technique of microblading. With ombré powder brows, minimal to zero blood surfaces during the procedure. The discomfort is different for everyone and is due to each individual's level of sensitivity. Some of our clients say that getting the procedure done is a similar sensation to an electric toothbrush pressed against the skin or rapid tweezing; some discomfort is to be expected as a needle is utilized.

- 05For brand new brows, the procedure can take up to 4 hours. This includes: the consultation, filling out the consent form, brow shaping, numbing and the actual shading procedure. I do not rush my services. I want each & every client to be satisfied with the results they receive. If you are to attend somewhere at a certain time during that day, please plan out your schedule accordingly.

- 09Ombre Powder Brows is a two-step appointment process. Your brows will not be completed in one service. The touch up session is imperative; and it should be scheduled 4-6 weeks apart from the intial session. Without it, the results will not be optimal. After a month, the skin will have completely healed. This means a new layer of skin has grown over the eyebrows, so the brows will have peeled & faded 30-50% lighter in hue (depending on skin). At the second touch-up session, we will evaluate the color retention and make adjustments as/if necessary. Everyone heals differently and at different rates. If your cosmetic tattoo does not heal perfectly the first time, do not worry. We can always make adjustments at the final touch up appointment.

- 11Avoid waxing, threading or tweezing your eyebrows 5 days prior to procedure. Avoid any blood thinning medication for a minimum of 72 hours prior to their appointment. This includes Vitamin E, Aspirin and ibuprofen (as they are natural blood thinners). Do not drink any alcohol, 24 hours before and limit the amount of caffeine you consume. This will affect the color deposit and may make you more prone to sensitivity and/or cause bleeding. Avoid getting any type of facial peel at least one week prior. Be prepared to lay very still for a long period of time. Wear comfortable clothing. Most clients bring headphones to listen to music during their appointment. Clients often find it helpful to bring in pictures of their ideal brow shape or color as it helps them to communicate their aesthetic goals.

- 18Pregnant or breastfeeding: We do not recommend this because it is not worth taking a risk for your child. Keloid scars: We do not want to touch keloids because they may have scar tissue built up beneath the skin and do not want to take that risk of cutting that area of the skin. Autoimmune diseases: Due to your compromised skin health. On blood thinner or have bleeding disorders: Pinpoint bleeding is normal, whereas excessive bleeding is not. If you are on blood thinners this could allow you to bleed too much which will make it more difficult to implant to pigment into the skin. The pigment will be pushed out and the process will be very difficult to achieve. On Accutane within the last year: Accutane extremely thins the top layer of your skin. We want your skin to be at its normal healthy self during the process and also so it can heal properly. Botox within the last 2 weeks: If you’ve gotten botox near your brow area it is best to wait the 2 weeks before getting Powder Brows because that is when the injected substances have fully settled on the facial muscles. Stop Retinol/RetinA 1 week prior: If used too close to the procedure date then this may allow your brows to fade quicker which we do not want. Sunburnt or have dermatitis: You must be completely healed from both of these before your appointment because if not then your skin will flake, resulting in loss of pigment from the procedure. Chemical peels, facials, microdermabrasion 4 weeks prior: These are to be avoided because the outer layer of the skin is removed. Removing the top layer of the skin will result in loss of pigment. YOU WILL NEED DOCTOR’S NOTE IF: 1) You are a diabetic: Your microblading may heal slower and may be more at risk for infection. 2) Had chemotherapy within the last year: Your immune system is compromised.
